Three prints. Three stories. One very special purpose.

The Adirondack Wildlife Collection was created in honor of my mom, the community she loves, and the beautiful connections between generations that continue even as dementia changes so much of our lives.

Each piece tells a different part of our family's story. Together, they represent community, memories, and the love that carries us through life's most difficult chapters.

🦌 The Elk | A Place to Belong

Inspired by one of my mom's favorite places in Malone — the Elks Lodge.

For years, the Elks was a place of friendship, laughter, and belonging. Even as her dementia progressed, she continued to be welcomed with open arms and warm hearts.

She was treated with respect, understanding, and grace, even on the difficult days.

This elk represents the people who made sure my mom always had a place where she belonged.

🦦 The Otter | Memories Across Generations

Inspired by a family visit to The Wild Center in Tupper Lake, where my mom got to experience my son's love for otters.

As dementia changes the way someone experiences the world, you begin to treasure the simplest moments.

Watching my mom share in my son's excitement was one of those moments.

This otter represents the little adventures, the joy of being together, and the memories we make between generations.

🎣 The Trout | The Stories We Still Share

My son has developed a love of fishing, and while his Yaya hasn't been able to experience those fishing adventures firsthand, he still gets to share them with her.

We visit her every week, and he tells her all about the big fish he's catching.

And every once in a while, she lifts her head and smiles.

Those little moments mean more than I can explain.

This trout represents the love that continues to connect them, even when words and memories become harder to find.

Because sometimes the biggest catch isn't the fish. It's the little moments we get to hold on to. ❤️

About the Collection

Each design is an original linocut, individually hand-carved, inked, and hand-pulled.

Traditional printmaking means that no two impressions are exactly alike. Slight variations in ink coverage, texture, and pressure are part of the process, giving every print its own unique character.

Only 50 prints of each design will be created — just 50 complete collections possible.

Your complete collection includes:

• One Elk print

• One Otter print

• One Trout print

• Three individual 5 × 7-inch hand-pulled linocut prints

• Black matting for each print, sized to fit standard 8 × 10-inch frames

• Limited editions of 50 per design

Art With a Purpose | Giving Back to Malone

My mom spent years teaching math and investing in the people of Malone. When dementia changed her life and she was the one who needed support, this community gave right back.

With kindness. With respect. With understanding. And with grace.

This collection is my way of saying thank you.

I'm donating my time, artwork, and materials. After just $1 per print to cover matboard costs, all remaining proceeds will support a Malone-area community or educational initiative.

I'm still working through the details of exactly where the funds will go. I'm exploring opportunities that could help preserve a piece of Malone's history, support local education, or make another meaningful difference in the community.

Once those details are finalized, I'll share them on theloonproject.com so everyone can see where their purchase is making an impact.

With only 50 of each design being created, purchasing the complete collection means bringing home three pieces of Adirondack-inspired artwork while helping me give something meaningful back to the town my mom loves.
