The Art
These pieces are created through layers — much like the stories, memories, and emotions that inspire them.
Working in watercolor and mixed media allows each painting to evolve naturally. The fluid movement of watercolor captures moments of softness and unpredictability, while additional textures and materials add depth, contrast, and character.
Many of these works are inspired by nature — loons, forests, wildlife, and the quiet landscapes that remind us to slow down and notice the world around us. Others are shaped by personal experiences, including caregiving and the journey of loving someone living with dementia.
Each piece is intentionally imperfect and one of a kind. Just like the moments, memories, and people that inspire them.

The Prints
Art can reach the parts of us that memory sometimes cannot.
Creative activities challenge different areas of the brain, support motor skills, and provide a sense of accomplishment for those living with dementia. But more importantly, they offer a way to express feelings that may no longer have words.
I started printing these pieces with my mom after her diagnosis. What began as an activity became something deeper — quiet moments of creativity, connection, and shared joy.
These prints hold more than paint and paper.
They hold time spent together.
