For the town she loved. For the generations still to come.
Sometimes the most meaningful memories are the ones shared between generations. ❤️
This otter print was inspired by a special memory of bringing my mom to The Wild Center in Tupper Lake, where she got to experience something that brings my son so much joy — his love for otters.
There is something incredibly special about watching two generations connect through something so simple. For my son, it was the excitement of seeing one of his favorite animals. For me, it was the gift of watching my mom share in that excitement.
As dementia changes so much about the person you love, you learn to appreciate the moments that don't require perfect memories, conversations, or even words. Sometimes, just being together and experiencing a little bit of joy is enough.
That visit was one of those moments.
I created this otter as a tribute to those little adventures, the memories we make along the way, and the beautiful connection between a grandmother and her grandson.
Because even when memories fade, the love behind those moments never loses its meaning. ❤️
About the Print
Part of The Loon Project's limited-edition Adirondack Wildlife Collection, this original linocut design is individually hand-carved, inked, and hand-pulled.
Because each print is created by hand, no two will ever be exactly alike. Slight variations in ink coverage, texture, and impression are natural parts of the traditional printmaking process. These beautiful imperfections make each piece truly unique.
Only 50 prints of this design will be created. Once they're gone, this edition will not be reproduced.
